Former National Assembly speaker Kenneth Marende possible entry into the Nairobi governor race on an ODM ticket is expected to shake up the scene in the Orange party.
Mr Marende earlier on Monday held talks with ODM leader Raila Odinga in an apparent move to seek the party’s ticket as he eyes to unseat incumbent Evans Kidero.
The ex-speaker must however brace for a tough battle with Kidero who is a key point man of Odinga in the Nairobi region.
Marende is set to quit as Kenya Power chair to contest for the city's top job.
