First Lady Margaret Kenyatta has dismissed calls to join politics and subsequently contest for presidential elections in 2022.
At Borabu on Thursday, Mrs. Kenyatta was endorsed for the top seat by Nyamira Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi and Borabu MP Ben Momanyi.
But Mrs. Kenyatta said she is focused to ensure her husband, Uhuru Kenyatta leaves a good legacy when he retires in 2022.
"I thank you for such support. It is always dream of everyone to lead this beautiful country," she said.
She added: "But I am not into politics all I want is unity and realisation of good lives for the people of Kenya. I am not interested in politics."
Currently, Deputy President William Ruto and Baringo senator Gideon Moi are pushing for early campaigns to replace Uhuru in 2022.
Interestingly, veteran politician Raila Odinga last week dismissed calls to be on ballot saying he was only interested in working closely with Uhuru.
