First Lady Margaret Kenyatta has been shortlisted to receive an award for her Beyond Zero Campaign.
Ms Kenyatta will be honoured with a Fellow of Honoris Cusa award by the Association of Health Professionals in an event that will be held in Capetown, South Africa.
The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gyneecologists (RCOG) will also be honouring her efforts towards reduction of mother-child HIV transmission that her campaign has fought to curb.
The Beyond Zero Campaign targets offering better health services for women and uses social and sporting events to sensitize people and raise funds for the services.
Ms Kenyatta is expected to give a keynote address to internationally recognised professionals from different countries across the globe.
Her nomination was proposed by African Representative on the RCOG Council Justin Konje.
