First Lady Margret Kenyatta has challenged Kenyans to turn in large numbers on October 26th elections, to bring to and end of electioneering period.

Kenya risks being in the persistent electioneering mood with opposition leader Raila Odinga pulling out of the race by demanding for more reforms in the electoral body.

At Tombe in Nyamira on Sunday, Mrs. Kenyatta said persistent politicking would further sabotage economy of the country.

“Kenya needs to forge ahead and we cannot be in a persistent electioneering mood. I challenge all political players to be part of the elections.

“We do not have to be in a continuous crisis because it will further sabotage our economy. Let us give independent institutions time to do their job,” she said.

During the August 8th elections, IEBC records show that President Uhuru Kenyatta beat Raila Odinga having scored 52 percent.

Both Uhuru and Odinga have toured the region once since the nullification of presidential results by the Supreme Court.
