The family of the late former Kanu-era Nominated MP Mark Too, has filed an appeal to block over 2,000 squatters from settling on a 25,000-acre Eldoret farm.
This follows a ruling that saw the squatters allowed to settle on the disputed land, which they claim Too had illegally acquired, after it was given to them during retired president Daniel Arap Moi’s government.
Too’s family led by widow, Sophie, maintained that 2,000 acres of the Sirikwa land was legally acquired by them, and would not give up until it is returned to them.
The land borders Moi University and the Eldoret International Airport.
