The remains of veteran politician Mark Too, arrived at the Eldoret International Airport, Sunday for an inter-denominational prayer service, ahead of his burial, Monday (today).
The body was airlifted from Nairobi's Lee Funeral Home, after family and friends held a church service at the AIC Milimani, Friday.
North Rift governors, Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu), Cleophas Lagat (Nandi) and Kapseret lawmaker Oscar Sudi led the friends, and relatives in receiving the body from a plane that also carried his family, led by widows Mary and Sophie.
AIC Bishop Patrice Chumba led a short prayer before the body was escorted by a convoy to the late Too's home in Kapseret, few kilometers from the airport.
He will be buried today at the Kapseret Maziwa farm, despite opposition from his former family lawyer Simon Lilan. He wants a second autopsy be done on Too's remains, to ascertain his real cause of death.
Lilan claims Too was assassinated, even though an autopsy by the government Chief pathologist Johansen Oduor revealed he died from a heart problem.
Too died December 31, 2016.
