The largest market in the Hagadera refugee camp in Northern Kenya burnt to ashes after a devastating fire tragedy on Monday night.
Reports indicate that the cause of the fire is not yet established, but its impact has been greatly noted by the residents.
Eye witnesses said that the fire was unstoppable as it was advancing at milliseconds and there were no fire fighters to put it off.
Some of the residents in Hagadera who spoke to the writer on phone narrated how they lost their property.
“I am a businesswoman and I used to sell clothes in the Hagadera market. Now that the market is no more, I will have to look what to do next,” said Hakima Abdullahi, a trader.
She is now calling for well-wishers to extend a helping hand to her so that she starts any other business to sustain herself and her family.
“I request anyone who can help me with anything to do so as I want to do any business that meets my family needs,” added Hakima.
