Members of the Marketing Fraternity have urged the Government to allow them use their skills in the fight against insecurity.

The members said that the new Security rules are not well known to members of the public and therefore could not play a major role in linking the government and members of the public.

 

Speaking in Nakuru on Friday, the Chatered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Africa Chairman James Ngomeli said that the plan will ensure that members of the public are 100% in charge of their Security.

 

“The key challenge in Security is the participation of citizens in security matters hence the birth of Nyumba Kumi of CIM is working with. As a task force, we are advocating for this passed security laws to be brought forward to Kenyans for them to understand,” said Ngomeli.

 

He pointed out the need to educate Kenyans on all aspects of security adding that the Nyumba Kumi concept must be Enhanced or remodeled to help them understand security issues.

 

“Security Communication is the new concept which association will use to work with the government in developing appropriate communication strategy,” added Ngomeli.
