[Photo| Courtesy]The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has continued to implement a new directive that will see principals and head teachers prevented from serving in their home counties.CEO Nancy Macharia said the policy would ensure improve cohesion among communities.However, teachers unions KNUT and KUPPET are opposed to the de-localisation move.Knut Secretary-General Wilson Sossion said such transfer of teachers kills their morale and hardwork.KUPPET Secretary-General Omboko Milemba said on Wednesday that teachers unions have successfully talked with TSC and agreed to post married teachers to same working areas.According to him, this would help in containing possible spread of HIV.The unions are opposed to the transfer of 557 head teachers and principals by TSC, saying they were not consulted.Sossion has since asked the affected teachers to ignore the directive.
