Kirinyaga governor aspirant and Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has bashed President Uhuru Kenyatta over his latest meeting with retired head of state Daniel Moi.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday met former President and his political mentor Daniel Moi moments to the Supreme Court verdict over his re-election.

President Kenyatta stated that he had visited Mzee Moi and had lunch with him at his Kabarak residence. He did not bother to unwrap much which has left many Kenyans guessing on what could have been the agenda in the latest meet-up of the duo.

Mr Kenyatta tweeted: "Visited and had lunch with Former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi in Kabarak, Nakuru."

But Karua, through a Twitter response on Uhuru Kenyatta's update on their lunch with Moi expressed her frustrations saying that the president ought to have thought about the ballooning cases of violence in the nation.

"That's okay ! We need you to address the escalating violence," Karua responded.

The former presidential candidate suggested that President Kenyatta hears the street action more than any other communication.

This was after a user Conscious Kenyan asked her to contact Mr Kenyatta to offer advice.

"Martha. Call this man. I worry that voices of reason around him are few and far in between," Conscious Kenyan guided.

Karua intimated that she could not do that.

She replied; “If I could I would for now these streets will do.

This is the second meeting between Kenyatta and Moi in 2017 after an initial one in February at the ex-head of state’s Kabarnet Gardens residence in Nairobi.
