Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua on Sunday revealed the amount she used in the last general election campaigns.
The former presidential aspirant said that her party only spent Sh50 million to run the election campaign.
"My party only spent Sh50 million during the last election. I traversed the country and I made it clear where I got my money for the campaigns," said Karua.
The former Gichugu Member of Parliament was speaking during an interview on Citizen Tv.
The former lawmaker was reacting to the recent regulations released by IEBC to limit spending by politicians and their political parties during 2017 elections.
She termed the limits set by the electoral body as outrageous because politicians are not supposed to reveal the source of their money.
"Where can a politician get Sh5 billion to fund his campaign? IEBC should have asked the politicians to reveal their source of funding," said Karua.
She added that the money quoted by IEBC only provides a chance for politicians to loot public funds.
The iron lady as commonly referred further revealed that she will be running for the presidency during the forthcoming general election. She ruled out chances of being an MP again.
