Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa has said that the state has no clue concerning the whereabouts of Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) leader Omar Hamisi Mwamnuadzi.
His remarks come after a Mombasa court was compelled to issue an arrest warrant against Mwamnuadzi after he failed to attend a case against him in October.
Speaking to Journalists, Marwa insisted that he knows nothing about the leader who has been missing for months.
“Why should we waste our time looking for one person? You press guys, go look for him. We don’t know his whereabouts,” said Mr Marwa, as quoted by Nation.
During the press briefing, Marwa refused to talk about the matter saying that it is before the court.
“We can’t indulge in something that is happening in court. We are trying to over-exaggerate the issue of Mwamnuadzi. It’s a matter in court and let it be dealt with there,” added Mr Marwa.
