Coast regional coordinator Nelson Marwa has issued a stern warning to politicians spreading messages that are likely to trigger chaos before, during and after the August polls.
According to Marwa, the security officers are ready to arrest and prosecute leaders who will be involved in such acts across the area of his jurisdiction.
The fiery commissioner, who had been hitting headlines because of his frosty relationship with Joho, also said that he will not allow leaders to break the law in the name of campaigning.
Marwa, who spoke to the press on Thursday at Mnarani in Kilifi county, cautioned youths against being used to cause violence in rallies and other functions .
"Youth should reject the little enticements given to them by politicians and engage in something constructive to improve their lives," said Marwa.
He further said that the fight against drug dealers was still on, adding that the state will not spare anyone. “We have information that some of the drug dealers are attempting to escape but their days are numbered,” he said.
The regional coordinator had visited the area to officiate the construction Ganze-Bamba road.
