The MP, who lost the Jubilee nominations to Gachuki Mugambi said she will not participate in the forthcoming polls and will instead focus on campaigning for her party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta, Citizen Digital reports.

Speaking on Tuesday during the issuance of bursaries in the constituency, Wambui promised her constituents that she will ensure they have access to quality education despite not defending her seat come August.

She urged residents to back Uhuru’s re-election bid so as to continue enjoying the fruits of development.

She, at the same time dismissed the opposition NASA alliance as a coalition only interested at enriching its leaders at the expense of Kenyans.
