Unregistered Masaai herbalists have been warned by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board that they will be met with the full force of the law.

Coast residents have also been warned against buying concoctions peddled by the unregistered herbalists.

Paddy Agoro, the board's Coast regional boss, said that moving from one point to another with the concoctions in heat can compromise them and endanger health and lives.

Mr. Agoro was giving an address in Mombasa on the state of play on the war against illegal pharmacies in the coastal region.

He said that the concoctions would be tested and if found to be fit for human consumption, the board will approve of them.

''Masaai's who sell red concoction in urban areas like Mombasa are unregistered. They pose a threat to people's lives. For that product to be out there, there has to be standards and other safety measures.'' Agoro said according to the Daily Nation.
