Machakos County Basketball women team Masaku Sparks has intensified its training at Kwanthanze grounds ahead of Saturday's Kenya Basketball Premier League match.

The team which beat Strathmore Leos last weekend in the preliminary rounds seeks to reach the last eight competition in order to put high its hope of being promoted.

The team which signed around 5 new players during the January transfer season seeks to better its performance in Kenya's top tier league.

The team under the guidance of coach Alphonse Mukala will be drawn against a team that will finish at the top of group B in the championship in the last eight matches.

It will be a do or die for Masaku Sparks as they eye a spot in the National League if they qualify for the finals and emerge victoriously.

All matches pitting the team will be played in Nairobi at the Strathmore University Sports complex on the weekend of 10th and 11th this month.
