Masaku women basketball team is ready for the upcoming national championship that will be held in Nyeri County from March this year.
The team which has been in a training camp at Mumbuni grounds has intensified its preparation as it aims at posting good results.
Led by the team's captain Jackline Musembi, the team will be seeking an impressive performance that will put high the team's hope of producing players in the national team.
All eyes will be on new players in the team who joined the team earlier this year.
The team will open the national championship campaign with a match against Nairobi team according to the fixtures that were released.
Over 10 teams from different counties will be competing for the national title that will act as a qualifier for Africa championship slated for April in Algeria.
Winners will also receive cash awards and personalized trophies after the end of the one week national championship.
