There was panic in Maseno University early this morning after a section of it's Department of Public Health burned down.

The varsity's vice-chancellor Professor Julius Nyabudi said that the cause of the fire is yet to be know.

Addressing the press at the scene,he noted that important office equipment like computers were completely burnt in the 3 am fire.

Nyabudi was accompanied by senior varsity staff, including his deputy Joseph Chaacha.

Police have began investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
