Maseno University will hold its 17th graduation ceremony on Friday, December 15, at the graduation square Siriba Campus.

The list of graduands has been drawn from students who qualified for conferment of various degrees and award of diplomas and certificates in the 2016/2017 Academic Year.

School of Agriculture & Food Security, School of Arts & Social Sciences - Undergraduate & Diploma, School of Development & Strategic Studies and School of Communication and Media are among departments producing this year’s graduands.

Dr. Charles Nyambuga who is the head of communication and media department at the Maseno University, says over 100 students from his department will graduate.

Dr. Nyambuga who is also a member of the Maseno University graduation committee says overall, over 3,000 are set to graduate on that day.

“When students come into your hands, they lack knowledge in various fields they intent to pursue. Graduation means they now have the knowledge and are therefore ready to take on the world,” he said during a phone interview with Hivisasa.com on Friday.

Sandra Atieno, one the students expected to graduate says she is very happy as she looks ahead f the big day.

 “I am extremely happy. I can’t wait for that day,” she said amid the excitement.
