Maseno University on Thursday announced that it had already scheduled Continued Assessment Tests (CATs) and the end of semester examinations.
Through the university’s registrar of academics and students affair, the institution administration announced that the second-semester dates of March 14th to May 22nd will not be changed.
The registrar further urged all students who are at home due to the ongoing lecturers strike to report back to the institution and prepare for CATs which are two weeks away.
“All Maseno University students are hereby informed to make urgent arrangements to be at the University immediately as teaching is ongoing. Class attendance lists shall be used as evidence of eligibility to sit for the end of semester examinations,” read the memo from the academic registrar as posted in the institution’s official website.
The registrar added that the dates scheduled for the end-semesterexamination will not be affected by the strike.
If the registrar's words are implemented, there are only two weeks remaining before the current semester comes to an end.
Majority of Maseno University students are currently at home waiting for the ongoing lecturers strike to be called off.
