Residents of Masii town and traders have asked the county government to collect huge heaps of litter that have gone uncollected for several months.

According to the residents the litter has destroyed the Aesthetic value of the town and produces bad smell.

Despite the continuous paying of taxes to county government residents say very little has been done to provide them with services such as garbage collection.

Machakos county has severally been accused of not collecting garbage in places such as Athi River with residents demonstrating over the same a few months ago.

For the case of Athi River it has taken some NGO's and local youth groups efforts to start cleaning the town.
