A business lady from Masimba, Nyaribari Masaba sub-county is accusing Police of laxity in investigating and bringing to book those behind robbing her hardware three days ago.
Speaking to this reporter, Anita Nicholas claimed that the Police have not shown seriousness and speed in dealing with the case which led to loss of so many valuables on Thursday night from her Metembe hardware.
"I lost 46 gas cylinders worth Sh1.3 million to suspected robbers who broke into my hardware. Police officers have not taken any significant step on the matter even after recording statements," complained Nicholas.
She has asked the Kisii County Commissioner to transfer Police officers saying that is not the first time they have been accused of laxity in their duty.
Masimba Ward MCA Joash Orora has since asked the government to beef up security in Masimba town and other Centres because residents are staying in fear over slowly penetration of robbers who threaten the resident’s lives.
