Hundreds of Ndithini residents in Masinga sub-county were Friday screened for cancer under the Machakos county cancer awareness campaign championed by Machakos first lady.

The screening went on the whole day and is set to go on at Ndithini Health center without any charges. 

Cancer is one of the leading killer diseases in Kenya and continues to claim many lives. Cancer is treatable once detected early and this is only possible through screening which Machakos first lady  Lilian Nganga has really championed for recently.

The first lady was accompanied by Fransisca Mutinda, the chair Maendeleo ya Wanawake Machakos and Women Representative aspirant.
