A woman was on Thursday found lying unconsciously with bad injuries on her head in Mukusu village in Masinga Sub-County.

Confirming the incident Masinga OCPD Mashua Juma stated the woman's injuries seemed to be from a sharp object.

"The lady was attacked at her home in Mukusu village and neighbours intervened after hearing noises and informed the police who rushed her to hospital," said Juma.

According to the police boss, the victim was attacked and had severe physical injuries on her head, mouth and hands.

The police have also launched investigation into the attack.

However, such attacks have been on the increase in Mukusu village with a similar incidence a week ago where a boy cut off his girlfriend's ear and head in a relationship wrangle.
