According to the site manager Elijah Mwaura, George Njuguna was rushed to the nearby Pine Breeze Hospital with broken limb and neck injuries sustained from the Friday morning accident.

“One of the ladders slid when he was working hence getting him off balance leading to the fall. He is lucky to have escaped without major injuries considering the nature of the accident," said Mwaura.

Meanwhile in the same area, a middle-aged woman and her one year child were rushed to hospital after falling into a sewer.

According to Musa Ogada, a barber who witnessed the accident, Susan Nyokabi was heading home from a shopping spree in the business centre Friday evening when she accidentally fell into the sewer.

“She was walking home carying her child when the accident happened. She couldn't have notice the sewer because it was dark. She fell into the sewer while her child fell a few metres away,” he said.

The woman and her child have since been treated and discharged.
