Kariobangi Sharks dangerman Masoud Juma has revealed that his new ambition is to help hosts Harambee Stars bag the Cecafa tourney by scoring as many goals as he can.
The lanky goal poacher was on form in the just concluded 2017 Sportpesa Premier League (SPL) where he bagged 17 goals to scoop the golden boot award.
Speaking to a local sports website on Thursday,Juma said that he hopes to replicate his league form at the national team where he is expected to lead Star's hunt for goals in the regional tourney following the exclusion of foreign based players.
"My hope is to help my country bag this tourney by scoring as many goals as possible.The joy of a striker is to score as many goals as possible and that is what I hope to achieve", he told Goal.com.
The 21-year-old at the same time appealed to football fans in the country to exercise patience with Stars and to always support the team no matter the circumstances noting that some criticism of the team were totally unwarranted.
Stars takes on Rwanda in their opening match on December 3.
