As leaders are trotting the country to mobilise Kenyans to register as voters calls for them to transfer their votes is happening at an alarming rate.Voters transfer has been widely reported in Muranga especially in Maragua and now Gatanga constituency where residents are transferring their votes to Nairobi and Kiambu county.One of the residents said women selling bananas at the Makongo market in Thika and hail from Muranga county have been frustrated by certain powerful county cartels to transfer their votes in Kiambu or Nairobi county and if they fail to do so they will be barred from selling their bananas in the Thika market."There are women who have told me they were told to transfer their votes to Kiambu or Nairobi county, they were even promised that another market will be built for them at Kemenu for their banana sales if they agree to the request," he said.However, the women stood their ground and said they won't be intimidated to transfer their votes.
