Women, especially those in the sports sector are a happy lot, after the Women Premier League (WPL) got a boost from FIFA to the tune of Sh12 Million.
The event happened at FKF Goal project office in Kasarani.
The occasion was graced by FKF president, vice president and other FKF delegation took place on Thursday at the FKF Goal project office in Kasarani.
Present also were WPL stakeholders who witnessed the official presentation of the grant.
Speaking on the same, Spedag ladies football club official Sarah Ogonyo expressed her joy and optimism about a better future for women football.
“It has to be remembered that for a very long time WPL teams have participated in the league without funding or sponsorship. This has come in timely as the league's Unification ensued. Well, we can't say this is enough to see us through but it’s a starting point for all of us. We look forward to more Sponsors coming on board,” she said.
