AFC Leopards tactician Robert Matano is fully convinced that his charges have not lived up to their ability this season.
One of the biggest soccer clubs in the country's football history, Ingwe for the first time has found itself in the unfamiliar relegation zone, a problem that the no-nonsense coach has vowed to resolve.
Leopards currently occupy the 12th spot in the league table with 39 points and the reality of finishing at the bottom three looms large if they slip up in their last two remaining encounters.
However, as a mitigation against such an embarrassment, Matano had urged his charges to record big wins in their crunch ties against relegation candidates Muhoroni Youth and surprise package Chemelil Sugar who are their last opponents.
"AFC Leopards is a big club that should be challenging for the league title or winning it outright,” Matano said after a 1-0 win against Nakumatt FC last weekend.Focus now shifts to the two remaining matches. I want to win both of them so that we can finish in a good position in the league and also for respectability.” he said.
However, it is not all gloom in the den having won the GOtv Shield which they gladly dedicated to their loyal fans.
