AFC Leopards tactician Robert Matano has intimated that he will field a number of his new signings during the Kenya Premier League Super Cup clash against their bitter rivals Gor Mahia to be staged at the Afraha Stadium this Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the mouthwatering 'Mashemeji Derby' on Saturday, the veteran tactician said that he is hoping that his new recruits will impress in the match even as they prepare for the gruelling 2018 season.

Leopards have spent massively in the ongoing transfer window bringing  on board a whooping seventeen new players and releasing quite a number as well. It is from these newcomers that the former Ulinzi Stars tactician is hinging his hopes on to clip a rival who thumped his charges twice last season.

"It is a normal encounter and we will play just like we did against KCCA. There is nothing special. It will be a good training for us because we are focussing on the league and the Confederation Cup. The special part maybe will be for my new players to cope with the atmosphere and the pressure that comes with playing for AFC Leopards. We have just started the pre-season and we can tell which team is on top. We are starting at the same foot  so after that we will know where we stand, " he said.

The match will be televised live by local free-to-air channel KTN Home from 3pm.

Entrace will be Sh300 and up to 1000 for VIP.
