The exit to Machakos bus station was blocked Monday afternoon by matatu operators from Mitaboni and Kangundo sub-counties.

Blocking the exit hindered vehicles from going out of the bus station until the police intervened. 

The operators claim that their designated parking space has been occupied by other matatus.

This comes as doctors and nurses downed their tools and protested blocking the access roads to Machakos.
