Joseph Munyoki who was speaking to the press on Wednesday said that many drivers in various roads are in greed of bagging as much as they can during this festive season at the risk of human life. "These drivers have become very greedy people when it comes to money matters. Instead of being content with what they ought to earn in a day they have designed their own salaries because there are more passengers during this period," said Munyoki. The residents equated the move by the reckless drivers to fleecing the lives of citizens in broad daylight and asked the NTSA and the government as whole to intervene."Kenyans are now seeing all drivers as people who are out there to dry the country's innocent souls which is very wrong," he added. At the same time, Machakos deputy governor has asked the NTSA to be decisive enough in dealing with those implicated in corruption and bribe scandals especially in transport sector saying that no one should be spared.
