Matatu operators plying the Kisii - Kilgoris road have threatened to stop paying fees to the county government over claims that they have been displaced from their stage.

According to their chairman, David Osiemo, the stage their route was allocated to pick and drop passengers, has been invaded by Probox vehicles and made it difficult for them do their daily operations.

Osiemo claims that their efforts to get assistance from the county government and police have not yielded any fruit adding that they are left with no option but to boycott paying revenue to the county government.

They are now appealing to the national government, through the ministries of interior and that of transport to intervene so that they can operate smoothly.
