Mathare united go Top of the KPL table after thumping low league side Nakumatt FC in a 3-2 triumph at the ruaraka grounds in Nairobi.

The pattern of the game was established early in the first half when Mathare united  opened the scoring after only two minutes of play. Clifton Nyakeya put the visitors infront with his fifth goal of the season.

Donald Mosoti later cancelled the goal from a penalty spot in the 23rd minute to make it level at halftime. 

It became increasingly likely Mathare united  steady pressure would eventually yield results after they were given a penalty earlier on in the second half after a foul in the penalty area. Mathare were now leading 1-2 after the penalty was converted by Francis Omondi. 

Francis Kimanzi side sealed the victory after a Clifford Alwanga show piece to make it 1-3 for the visitors. 

Nakumatt fc finally injected some life into their play in the final twenty minutes, and their efforts bore fruits when they were given a penalty in the dying minutes of added time. 

It was Donald Mosoti again who seized the moment and converted the penalty to make it 2-3 but there was little time to salvage a point.
