Tension was high in Mathare, Nairobi county on Wednesday night.
This is after opposition supporters demonstrated against the arrest of Ruaraka Member of Parliament TJ Kajwang.
Kajwang was arrested on Wednesday afternoon outside the Milimani Law Courts by flying squad officers after he on Tuesday participated in the swearing-in of former prime minister Raila Odinga as 'people's president.'
The angry protestors burnt tyres along Juma Raod, in Mathare North.
Reports indicate gunshots were heard in the area while police engaged the demonstrators in running battles.
