Former East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Peter Mathuki has said that National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga and his running mate in the August General elections, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka have proven to the entire world that they stand for peace.
Speaking at the home of the late Kitui West lawmaker Francis Nyenze, Mathuki said that the two have shown the world that they care about the growth of this nation than anything else.
Mathuki was the running mate of Former Kathaini MP Wavinya Ndeti during the August general elections in the governorship race.
“Mr Odinga and Mr Musyoka are known globally and have proved to the world that they stand for peace, despite all the electoral injustices they have suffered,” Mr Mathuki said, as quoted by Daily Nation.
His sentiments were echoed by Kitui county boss Charity Kaluki Ngilu of NARC who said that Kalonzo has been one of the strongest politicians since President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto were declared winners of the rerun.
“I am very proud of my brother Kalonzo for making it clear that the issues arising from the August presidential elections cannot be wished away and that President Kenyatta’s second term in office was illegitimate,” Mrs Ngilu said.
