Matiang’i has said the commitment that was witnessed during the national examinations across the counties will also be applied during the marking exercise so that students get accurate results that reflect their academic potentials.

“I have a lot confidence in the Kenya National Examination Council and I can assure that all the necessary mechanisms have been established to ensure the results are highly credible,” he said.

On a light note, the CS quipped that stakeholders cannot wake up as early as five in the morning during examinations then finally sleep during marking the examination exercise.

The no nonsense Matiang’i added that the new system of administering examinations is successful with few cases of exam malpractices as compared to the past years.

He commended school heads and security officers for their great commitment during the examination process, complementing that their hard work would eventually led to sanity in the examination centers.

The CS also appreciated all the education stakeholders for their effective collaboration during the examinations period saying this has largely contributed to the credibility of the KCSE and the KCPE examinations.
