The soft spoken politician said Matiang'i has been using force since he was named the education and Interior cabinet secretary respectively.

"Matiang'i is not a leader. He is only seeking fame among the Gusii politicians. He should be ignored by the Gusii community because if he is made today the community's spokesman, the community will not benefit anything from him," he noted.

He said Matiang'i has a long way to go in order to penetrate politics in the Gusii region.

"Matiang'i may not be allowed to become even a Nyumba Kumi official in his home backyard due to his dictatorship. A leader using force will not penetrate in any community's politics," he stated.

Kebati urged current elected leaders from Gusii region to team up and ensure Matiang'i don't get space in the community's politics.

The former legislator regretted that the Gusii region may not develop due to the divisive politics and hatred among the Gusii politicians.

He appealed to elected MPs to push the national government to initiate and launch several projects across the two Gusii counties, Nyamira and Kisii to benefit residents.

Kebati represented Bonchari constituency in Kisii County as the MP between 1992-2002.
