Matiang'i said the government has invested a lot of funds to ensure the learners study under conducive environments only for them to misuse such opportunities by destroying the properties through uncalled for strikes.

"We can't invest a lot of money in setting up such facilities for you; modern laboratories and libraries and then you destroy them in fires or just through breakages," said Matiang'i in Borabu constituency on Monday.

He said any student who will be found culpable of such wrongdoing will not get a chance in another institution once expelled from their former school.

"Don't think you can destroy here and run to a different school, once you are caught, you will be treated like any other criminal under the law. Please avoid involving yourselves in such malpractices and you will be safe," warned the CS.

He spoke when he commissioned a school bus at St Paul's Nyandoche Ibere Girls Secondary School that was funded by Borabu CDF kitty.

Area MP Ben Momanyi, Teachers' Service Commission chief executive Nancy Macharia, Education PS Beloi Kipsang and former CIC chair Charles Nyachae attended the event.
