A section of youth supporting NASA drawn from Kisii County have dared Interior CS Fred Matiag’i to arrest opposition leader Raila Odinga over his recent swearing in as the People’s president.
Led by Lameck Mokua who lost in the Bomachoge Borabu parliamentary contest, the youth said that Odinga’s swearing in was justified adding that the government should stop arresting NASA leaders and go for the former Prime Minister himself.
“There is no need of intimidating his allies but instead they should try to arrest Raila and for once they will easily realize how powerful the ‘People’s president is” Mokua said.
The group urged the state to ensure that they address Raila Odinga with the high most respect and give him the security needed since he commanded a huge following in the country.
Their sentiments comes at a time when the government has launched a crackdown the opposition leaders who took part in Odinga's inauguration.
So far three leaders; TJ Kjwang, Miguna Miguna and George Aladwa have been arrested over the Tuesday swearing-in.
