Interior CS Fred Matiang’i has given the Kenya Airports Authority an ultimatum of 12 weeks to reform and improve service delivery.
The CS who led other CSs from four ministries at the signing of the service delivery charter bringing together six ministries told KAA to hire an airport manager whose work will be to ensure smooth and efficient running of business at the airport.
He was speaking at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Matian'gi said that the Kenya Airport Police Unit (KAPU) will also see a complete overhaul in an effort to improve security at the airport.
With him was Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala who directed that all staff in the Airport Customer Care department undergo training under the new customer care curriculum offered at Utalii College to see them improve on service delivery.
