Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i has commended teachers, invigilators, security officers and members of the public for playing a critical role in ensuring the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams are professionally administered.

The exams end today, Wednesday countrywide.

Speaking in Machakos town when he oversaw the distribution of the last examination papers, the Cabinet Secretary hailed head teachers for working closely with security officers that were deployed in their respective schools for security purposes, saying they ensured zero tolerance to cases of exam leakages.

Matiang'i emphasised that no KCSE examination was leaked, saying this year's exams have been very credible.

"I want to make it clear that in the year 2016, we have had a credible KCSE examinations. Exam has not leaked and we haven't expereinced any of those unusual cases of malpractice," said the CS.

He further assured that Ministry officials will meet and file a report on the administration of the exams, which kicked-off early this month, and later release the report to the public.

"We will sit down at some point and issue a comprehensive report on the administration of this examination,'' assured Matiang'i.
