While addressing a conference at Kenya School of Government, Matiang'i however said there are positives within the force that people fail to recognise.

"I cannot say that the police force is entirely clean. They are not saints and that is why I am embarrassed with a section of them.

"In fact, I could not believe my eyes when I saw a certain clip of an officer harassing an innocent man. Those are few issues that we need to adjust," he said.

Also, the issue of corruption was reignited with the minister warning errant officers who have been linked to various corrupt cases.

Recently, Kenya Police Service was ranked as one of the most corrupt in the world, coming in third, the worst ranking ever.

meanwhile, More leaders from Gusii region have continued to back Matiang'i for the deputy President post, with North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko saying the community could back his bid in 2022.
