Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has vehemently denied being in contempt of court orders, following much publicised lawyer Miguna Miguna's tribulations.
The controversial lawyer was forcefully bungled out of the country to Dubai, where he remained for a couple of days.
"The two despots forced me out of the country through violent eviction and poisoning me using chemicals," he recounted while in Dubai.
It is through Miguna's saga that the state was accused of disregarding court orders following Interior Ministry's decision to fail to produce the outspoken lawyer in court.
During interrogations by the Parliamentary Select Committee on Security, Matiang'i claimed that Miguna was not held by the police.
"I was ready to produce Miguna in court if only I had kept him in police custody," he said, in reference to Miguna's detention in a toilet.
The outspoken CS along with IG Joseph Boinet were slapped with Sh200,000 fine after being convicted of contempt of court.
