Firebrand Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i now says the government should have charged estranged lawyer Miguna Miguna over fraudulent acquisition of Kenyan passport.

Last week, Miguna was deported to Dubai after spending three days in a toilet at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, a move he termed illegal.

"The two despots forcefully abducted, injected me with chemicals before deporting me out of the country," he claimed.

And his deportation has subjected the country's hold to the rule of law at stake, a move that has created a rift between the opposition and government.

But at an interrogation with Parliamentary Select Committee on security, Matiang'i claimed that Miguna had obtained his Kenyan passport fraudulently.

"I am now tabling the file on how, the them minister for immigration, Otieno Kajwang, gave Miguna a passport.. You will see it is full of fraud. In fact, we should have charged Miguna for fraud," he said.

Even though the government surrendered Miguna's confiscated passport, it was badly disfigured such that it cannot be used anywhere.

Surprisingly, the government has also insisted that Miguna's ID is illegal, adding that he should apply both documents fresh.
