Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i. [Photo/The star]Anti-Jubilee youths drawn from Kisii and Nyamira counties respectively have asked acting interior CS Fred Matiang’i to resign from the docket for failing to contain the police and above all for playing politics which is against the law.
The youths accused Matiang'i of absconding his duties of safeguarding the NASA protesters across the country and for directly being involved in campaigning for the re-election of president Uhuru since the campaigns began.
In a press conference Edward Kebacha said that they won’t allow Matiang’I to impose president Uhuru Kenyatta on them by regularly bringing him to the region only for his personal and family gains.
“We know Matiang’I and his family have self intrest towards the reelection of president Kenyatta and if he wants to join Jubilee let him resign and vie for any seat that he believes will suit him,” said Kebacha.
This comes barely hours after Kisii town came into standstill after Jubilee said that Uhuru will be touring the area to campaign ahead of October, 26 repeat presidential elections.
