Fred Matiang'i education cabinet secretary has ordered for dissolution of Muvuti secondary school board.
The school is located in outskirts of Machakos town a few kilometres along Machakos-Kitui road.
The order for dissolution follows after CS Matiang'i made an impromptu visit to the school last week on Friday and found the school in very bad state in which he concluded that it's due to poor management.
"A conducive environment should be provided for students in all institutions. Several classes had no teachers when I visited the school and the school principal was absent," he said.
Muvuti secondary school is among schools in both Machakos and Kitui counties which CS Matiang'i visited.
Other schools he visited are Machakos school and Machakos girls high school, Kitui high school and Engineer Ngilu mixed secondary school in Kitui.
Matiang'i was accompanied by Machakos county director for Teachers Service Commission Muturi Ireri, Kitui county director of education Pascal Makite among other stakeholders.
According to Muvuti secondary school deputy principal Paul Matheka, the school principal had accompanied other teachers and students for ongoing secondary school games in which according to Matiang'i was a way of absconding from their duties.
