Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has said that the government is considering de-reregistration of all driving schools.
Speaking on Tuesday, Mating'i said that there was need for all driving schools to reapply for accreditation due to the rise in deadly accidents.
Dr Matiang'i was with the Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia and they both announced the measures to be undertaken to stop the dealy accidents.
"We shall prescribe the regulations and conditions that driving schools have to meet." Matiang'i stated.
He also warned the judiciary against conniving with the traffic police through issuing court orders to bring them back after being transferred.
NTSA has been given seven days to propose a regulation and framework for the new registration of driving schools.
Drivers will also have to through medical tests before being handed the new smart driving licenses.
The new proposal comes at a time when over 150 people have lost their lives through road accidents in the month of December alone.
