Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has warned people encroaching on school lands across the country, insisting that his ministry will 'deal with them.
Speaking on Sunday at Kisii town Parish, Matiangi said the Ministry of education will protect all school territories in the country including church sponsored institutions.
“Land grabbers should know the ministry of education is there to protect all schools in the country including those that were erected by churches,” said Matiangi.
"I will not allow some busybodies grab land aimlessly under my watch. This bad culture must end and I am putting those engaging in the filthy business on notice. I will ensure we have recovered the land," he said.
Matiangi also said that his ministry was in touch with their Lands counterparts to ensure all institutions acquire land tittle deeds to curb such cases.
The tough speaking Cabinet Secretary is keen to ensure critical reforms are put in place, a move which he says will sanitize education ministry.
