Renowned blogger Cyprian Nyakundi now accuses Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i of witch-hunt over his controversial social media posts.

Last week, Nyakundi, who has also been pushing campaigns in support for boy-child, claimed that Matiang'i could have been cohabiting with a choir girl as speculated by a local paper.

And on Tuesday, Nyakundi insisted that police had arrested five of his kin in a plot to pursue him under the order from the CS.

"Arrested in Rongai, detained in Kamukunji and arraigned in Kiambu," wrote Nyakundi, adding that the government had lost focus on priorities.

Kenyans on Twitter on Monday under #ReleaseNyakundi'skins accused Matiang'i of misusing state resources by pursuing an innocent person.

"It is sad that Matiang'i is using state resources to intimidate an innocent Kenyan. He should divert all the energies in fighting terrorists," said Abuga Makori.

Although it is not yet clear why the five were arrested, Nyakundi claims that it is a plot to intimidate them to reveal his current location which is unknown.
